Through the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT)’s Data for Development or D4D program, Layertech Labs conducted a Public Data Analytics (PDA) crash course on April 7, 2025, at the DICT Central Office in Diliman, Quezon City. Workshop participants include representatives from the Management, Operations Audit Division, Legal Division, National ICT Planning, Policy and Standards Bureau, ICT Industry Development Bureau, and Cybersecurity Office of the DICT.
DICT is committed to paving the way for a more transparent, efficient, and accountable government by leveraging data science and analytics on public data to enhance decision-making, empowering communities, and fostering innovation in governance. The resource speaker for the PDA-D4D crash course and workshop, Frei Sangil, is a distinguished data scientist and CEO of Layertech Software Labs Inc., and has been instrumental in advancing public data analytics in the Philippines. Her work emphasizes harnessing data science and analytics to address community challenges and inform government decision-making.
