How do we effectively translate our data science ideas, innovations, and skills into measurable impact for good governance? In partnership with Isabela State University’s (ISU) Master’s in Public Administration Customized Degree Program, Layertech conducted a lecture on April 27, 2025, about using Data Science and Analytics for Inclusive, Data-Driven, and Impactful decision-making.
Attended by mostly ISU postgraduate students in public administration, the two-part lecture tackled key concepts in Public Data Analytics and actual examples of its recorded impact in the Philippine government context.
An hour-long open question and answer session followed the core lectures, wherein participants shared their ground experiences, challenges faced, and insights on how they can use Public Data Analytics in their respective organizations and offices. The lecturer, Frei Sangil, also shared practical strategies on effectively incorporating public data analytics into their standard operating procedures and how to overcome current challenges of using Public Data Analytics in subnational governments.
Layertech Labs committed its continued support to empowering both civil society organizations and decision makers with Information Communications Technology and Public Data Analytics.
Layertech Labs shared free resources to ISU and its students, so that they may continue exploring and contributing to Public Data Analytics moving forward.
Layertech ended the program by donating physical copies of the Public Data Analytics Handbook to ISU libraries.
