Through the Department of Information and Communications Technology, Layertech Data Scientist Frei Sangil joins the RISE Panel at the 9th Convergence of Luzon ICT Champions Conference and Exhibition (CLICKONEX) on April 3-4, 2025, in San Fernando La Union, Philippines.
In the panel discussion, a key challenge tackled by the panelists and audience is making sure that the data and tech solutions properly translate to relevant and actionable solutions to community challenges.
Frei Sangil shared actual use-cases, projects, impact, and best practices of data science and analytics in the context of Local Government Units (LGUs) in the Philippines. She shared Layertech’s programs like the OCDex Project and CloudCT project, wherein data and ICT is used to facilitate citizen participation and data-driven governance. Sangil ended her talk by sharing free and open sourced resources on how LGUs can start their own context-specific data strategies and PDA journey.
Frei Sangil was joined by Dominic Ligot from Cirrolytix AI, Maggie Po from FullSuite, Kris Villanueva-Libunao of SmartCT and Development Academy of the Philippines, and Jomari Mercado, former IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines president.
