In preparation for the projected surge in demand for digital-based jobs, the Negros Island Region (NIR) is preparing for a significant growth by empowering its stakeholders in the IT-BPM Sector. As part of the Road to 100k Digital Jobs initiative, the Philippine ICT Innovation Network, in partnership with the Local Government of Negros Occidental and Bacolod City, hosted the Negros Occidental Business Forum, and the Bacolod Business Forum, wherein Layertech joined as a speaker, introducing the role of Public Data Analytics to an inclusive economic growth.

In the forum, Data Scientist and inclusive digital transformation advocate Frei Sangil emphasized the importance of having a functional and inclusive data infrastructure for sustainable job creation in the countryside. Frei shared firsthand examples of how public data analytics have contributed to inclusive economic growth in local governments, and how Negros Occidental and its stakeholders from the private sector utilize the power of data to develop a more sustainable economic strategy towards their goal of generating 100,000 digital jobs in the region.

Major Partners of the business forum are Layertech Software Labs, Medstar, Colliers, WorkPod, Toon Boom, Fullsuite, Emerge PH, Negros Occidental Language and IT Center (NOLITC), and the Philippine ICT Innovation Network.
