Six Local Government Units (LGUs) and their partner Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) completed a two-day training course on Public Data Analytics (PDA), assisted by PDA-certified trainers from Bicol University College of Engineering, National University Philippines, Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology, and Holy Name University – Official.
The PDA Training Course and Strategic Planning Workshop is designed by Layertech Labs and partners from the academe, CSOs, international organizations, and local governments, to support LGUs and their CSOs in crafting their own localized Data Strategy and Roadmap, as well as a Cybersecurity Incident Response Plan. The training was held in person, in Legazpi City, Albay, from April 3, 2024 (Training of Trainers), to April 4-5, 2024 (Training for LGUs and CSOs).

The PDA course development and pilot rollout is supported by the International Republican Institute (IRI) under the Technology and Democracy Group, and the pilot roll-out is organized with the support of USAID Philippines Project CHANGE – Cities for Enhanced Governance and Engagement.
The PDA course and workshop are available in both in-person and online delivery formats and may be conducted either by Layertech Labs or certified trainers under partner institutions.
