Digitalization has proven to be necessary for the continuity of social, educational, health, and business operations during the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to the rapid increase in demand for digital transactions, the Department of Trade and Industry Albay (DTI-Albay), in partnership with Layertech Labs, organized the three-phase digitalization training program entitled Digital Transformation: Creating Business Value and Innovation for MSMEs. The program is administered through a series of hybrid online and offline lectures and consultations.
On August 1, 2022, DTI and Layertech kicked off the project with a one-day seminar and orientation to 20 select MSMEs from the preserved food and garments industry, marking the start of their digitalization journey.
