Layertech’s Lead Data Scientist Joins the US State Department’s IVLP Cohort Hidden No More: Women Leaders in STEM

The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) is the U.S. State Department’s premier exchange program through visits of current and emerging foreign leaders to the United States to first hand cultivate lasting relationships with their American counterparts.” -IVLP Website

The IVLP program is a by-nomination only, nominated by the U.S. embassies worldwide and handpicked to fit the initiative’s objectives and qualifications. The “Hidden no More” initiative under the IVLP started in 2018, and aims to bring together top women leaders in STEM and have them interact with American institutions such as Johns Hopkins Applied Physics and Laboratory, National Geographic, Geena Davis Institute, California Institute of Technology, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and more, to cultivate relationships, learning, and network. The initiative’s name was inspired by the movie “Hidden Figures” featuring pioneering female scientists and engineers Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan, and Mary Jackson and their groundbreaking work in the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

Frei is a co-founder and Data Scientist in Layertech Labs, actively working with her industry and academic affiliations on cryptography and cyber forensics research.
