Layertech labs joins Makati Business Club (MBC) and Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) as data science partner for the Digital Democracy programme.
The Digital Democracy programme focuses on the use of technology for decision-making and community-building. It aims to pilot a ‘technologically-oriented way for local governments to make decisions, to strengthen community and civic engagements using collaborative tools. The programme started with Pasig City in 2020 to 2021, focusing on low-speed streets, and will soon be working with Intramuros and Legazpi city to look into pedestrian-only streets and supporting family businesses.
Layertech Labs started the Cloud City project in 2017, and granted support in 2018 by the Center for International Enterprise’ InnovateGov Programme. Cloud City is a feedback analytics project that aims to collect, analyze, and draw actionable insights from citizen feedback to inform local government decision-making. Cloud City project is currently under the Feedback Tools Accelerator Programme of FeedbackLabs in Washington DC.
Through the CloudCT project, Layertech and partner researchers from the academe assist MBC in processing feedback data collected and present key concerns, highlights, relations, and recommendations to MBC and concerned LGUs.
