This is a four-part courseware aimed to equip Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises with the key competencies required to securely and efficiently engage in E-commerce, and join the digital economy. By the end of this module, you should be able to: Understand key terms and concepts related to online business management; create an online business management plan; explore different business management tools such as e-payment, delivery and logistics; and use basic data and analytics to inform business decision making.
Welcome to the “Digital Security Best Practices” module. This is a four-part courseware aimed to equip Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises with the key competencies required to securely and efficiently engage in E-commerce, and join the digital economy. By the end of this module, you should be able to: Understand basic cybersecurity concepts; Recognize common scams, fraud and criminal activities online; Use online security tools and platforms; Learn security best practices for online business platforms and online transactions; Understand global data use rules, regulations, and privacy standards (GDPR, etc.); Create a security checklist for your own online business and transactions (activity).

Before we begin:
This is a free and public courseware. You may access all the packages and materials included in this course for free. If you are going to re-use the materials in this course, kindly give complete and proper attribution to CIPE and the respective owners of the materials in the modules. You have two options to take this course:
One, you may access the course through this online platform and run the e-learning modules with a stable internet connection.
Alternatively, you may download the “offline packages” which are packed by module. Once downloaded, you may run the course in your browser, offline.
The final quiz for the certification may only be completed online.
Course instructions:
Make sure to start the modules in the following sequence: Module 1, followed by Module 2, 3, and lastly, Module 4.
If you are a facilitator, make sure to finish Module 5 (facilitator’s module) first. This will guide you on how to deploy the course to your partner MSMEs.
Each module includes worksheets and other reference materials. You need to do the activities as described in the e-learning modules, and use the attached documents as instructed. When finished, your facilitator may request that you submit your completed worksheets.
