Guided by the theme \u2018\u2019Breaking the Glass Ceiling: Inclusive Digital Innovations of Women in STEAM\u2019, the University of the Philippines National Institute for Science and Mathematics Educational Development (UP-NISMED), The Austrian Embassy in the Philippines, and EUREAXESS ASEAN, organized the Women in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) Summit at the UP Diliman NISMED Auditorium on March 17, 2023. <\/p>

In Frei Sangil’s Plenary lecture\/presentation entitled “Data Science and ICT to Advance Inclusion”. she talked about the figures of the existing gender gap in the workforce, both in the Philippines and in the East Asia and the Pacific Region, and how Data and ICT can be used to help bridge that gap. Frei also presented the current projects that Layertech and its partners are doing to promote citizen participation and inclusion.<\/p>
