The partnership was facilitated by USAID-Strengthening Urban Resilience and Growth with Equity (USAID-SURGE) Women&#8217;s Global Development and Prospertity (WGDP) and aims to empower local Micro, Small, and Medium Entrepreneurs to join the digital economy and bounce back from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p><p>In the partnership, Layertech will provide free Business Management Suite software and premium access to Layertech&#8217;s e-learning materials and courseware, to 50 select women entrepreneurs in Zamboanga city, screened and endorsed by the Zamboanga Chamber of Commerce. The selection process will prioritize women-owned, and women-led businesses, with a capitalization of less than 10 million pesos. The businesses owned by or employs persons with disabilities (PWD) are also prioritized.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" materials will be monitored and studied by the parties, to inform future similar initiatives, and give insights to policy and decision makers for poverty alleviation thru local business empowerment
